Just Riding Around  â€‹

Just Riding Around (JRA) is in collaboration with Cascade Bicycle Club and WSDOT. Through the lens of active transportation students learn the basics of urban riding, gaining confidence and experience riding and learning how to integrate with bicycle infrastructure. From there, we take them on rides around the city, showing them the different communities across the city and learning how to navigate it safely. At the end of the program, students get to take the bicycles home along with other equipment to ensure their success beyond this program allowing them to become advocates and leaders in their communities. Just riding Around is supported with funding from Washington’s Climate Commitment Act. The CCA supports Washington’s climate action efforts by putting cap-andinvest dollars to work reducing climate pollution, creating jobs, and improving public health. Information about the CCA is available at www.climate.wa.gov

Pedals For The People

Our bike gifting program, "Pedals For the People," gave away functioning bicycles to individuals who rely on cycling for essential transportation. We are proud of our work to distribute bikes to community members who rely on them for essential transportation but cannot afford one.

Each day, students will dive into a different part of the bicycle, learning key repair and maintenance skills. By the end of the program, they'll take home the bike they’ve chosen and fully repaired themselves.
