Our 2026 events calendar highlights the rides, gatherings, and community moments that bring 2nd Cycle’s mission to life throughout the year. From signature rides and bike swaps to music nights, educational tours, and major fundraisers, these events create opportunities for connection, learning, and access through active transportation. Whether you’re joining us at the shop, out on a ride, or celebrating community, there’s something for everyone to be part of in 2026.

Tweed Ride
UWT Tweed Ride A 3 mile vintage inspired loop through campus and Downtown. We’re heading to the Farmers Market for a mid-ride stroll before returning to base. Dust off your wools and join the parade!

Destiny Dozen 2026
Get ready for an unforgettable adventure at the Destiny Dozen ride! The Destiny Dozen is a fundraiser for Second Cycle that will take you roughly 40 miles around Tacoma, going up 12 of our toughest hills from Fairbanks to Owen Beach, climbing 4200 feet.
Whether you're racing against the clock or enjoying the journey with fellow cyclists, every pedal stroke contributes to our shared goal of supporting Tacoma's only non-profit community bike shop.
Details:
Registration Fee: $60, no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
Check in: 8-10 am at Second Cycle, 1205 MLK Jr. Way, Tacoma

Bicycle Fix it Fest Open Shop!
Need to fix a flat? Adjust your brakes? Learn how to wrench on your own bike? Fix-It Fest is for you!
Join us every other Friday at 2nd Cycle for a drop-in open shop session where our workbenches, tools, and supportive community are here to help you keep your bike rolling. Whether you’re a total beginner or just need a space to finish a project, you’re welcome here.

Fix-It Fest is part of our mission to demystify and normalize bike riding as a part of daily life and make sure everyone has access to the tools and knowledge they need to ride confidently.
