May 3rd, 6-9pm

WTF non-binary open shop night: A fundraiser for the rainbow center

We will be selling raffle tickets with 100% of proceeds going to benefit rainbow center in downtown Tacoma! You can learn more about the rainbow center's mission and programming here: https://www.rainbowcntr.org/ WTF/non-binary night provides FREE open shop time for womxn, trans, femme, and non-binary folks. This event takes place every 1st and 3rd Friday from 6-8pm, however, on this night we will be hanging out until 9pm! This is a great opportunity to come in and hang out in a bike shop/gain access to assisted bicycle repairs from certified mechanics!

May 7th - Ride down from shop at 4:30 pm

Levi Accepts Bike Month Proclamation / Group Ride to City Hall

We will ride from the shop downtown to city hall to watch 2nd cycle legacy Levi Hamilton accept the Bike Month Proclamation and speak to the city council!

The proclamation will take place during the first part of the city council meeting, between 5-5:30pm. Bring a bicycle bell to ring when they announce the proclamation and call Levi up to speak!

May 11th 1pm-6pm

Steel Wheel Alleycat

This event is brought to you and organized by 2nd Cycle youth volunteers! Ride to mysterious destinations for a chance to win awesome prizes! Registration and route planning 1pm / ride starts at 2pm. For more info, check out our Facebook event:

May 17th, 7am-10am

Bike to Work Day! (Group Ride From Wright Park)

2nd cycle crew will be riding from the Wright Park bathrooms at 8am to Alma Mater where Downtown on the GO! will be serving up hot coffee, free for those who bike. Enjoy snacks, games, and music at Pierce County’s best (only?) commuter celebration. Whether you bike to work every day or just on Friday, May 17th – there is something for you!

Sunday May 19, 2019 --- 10:30am - 12pm

Kidical Mass Family Bike Ride Starts/Ends at the Eastside Community Center

(1721 E 56th St, Tacoma, WA 98404) 3.6-mile bike ride on the Salishan neighborhood streets and the newly paved Pipeline Trail. This route has some rolling hills, but the event is open to riders of all ages and abilities.
