Service Description
Open Shop Program / DIY Bike Shop: The Open Shop Area is the heart of Second Cycle, where people come together in a learning and working environment. Open 300 days a year, the space is a lifeline for those dependent upon their bike for daily transportation. We help people keep biking to where they need to go, whether that be to their job, to social services, to meet a cycling goal, or to strengthen their self-reliance and mechanical ability. $10 PER HOUR FOR ACCESS TO THE TOOLS, WITH NO STAFF ASSISTANCE ON REPAIRS/MAINTENANCE $15 PER HOUR FOR ACCESS TO THE TOOLS, WITH OCCASIONAL MECHANICAL ASSISTANCE FROM STAFF $20 PER HOUR FOR A SERVICE DEMONSTRATION IN ADDITION TO COST OF SERVICE $75 PER HOUR FOR ONE ON ONE TRAINING BY APPOINTMENT ONLY (PLEASE ASK STAFF FOR SCHEDULING) Note: Self-declared low income, people experiencing homelessness, and youth under eighteen have access to the shop's resources at a reduced rate or no cost.
