Tacoma Social Justice Tour Saturday June 20th 2026

Community voices and leaders from all along the bicycle route will share stories and themes of: indigenous peoples, Black empowerment, police accountability, immigration, LGBTQ+, Chinese reconciliation, immigration law & justice, and several others.

The ride begins at 2nd Cycle Community Cycling Center and winds its way through the Hilltop District to Wright Park, the Tacoma Waterfront, the Port of Tacoma, the NW Detention Center and ends at the Prairie Line Trail in Downtown Tacoma.

Anderson Island Ride

Ride Details:

Date: Saturday, August 29, 2026
Time: 9 a.m. - 1:15 p.m.
Locations: Starts and ends at the Steilacoom Ferry Terminal
Price: Participating in this ride is free, including registration, safety checks and ferry fare. Your only expenses may include parking and snacks/lunch you purchased prior to the ride.

Event Description:

Come ride the Steilacoom-Anderson Island Ferry and ride your bike around the island! This is a family-friendly, slow-paced ride, welcoming to riders of all ages and abilities. No one will be left behind.

Bicycle Fix it Fest Open Shop!

Need to fix a flat? Adjust your brakes? Learn how to wrench on your own bike? Fix-It Fest is for you!

Join us every other Friday at 2nd Cycle for a drop-in open shop session where our workbenches, tools, and supportive community are here to help you keep your bike rolling. Whether you’re a total beginner or just need a space to finish a project, you’re welcome here.

What to expect:

Access to tools & work stands
Volunteer mechanics offering guidance
A welcoming, inclusive space
No experience required

Fix-It Fest is part of our mission to demystify and normalize bike riding as a part of daily life and make sure everyone has access to the tools and knowledge they need to ride confidently.
